Yip Yip is an Australian folk trio based in Katoomba and Braidwood NSW. The instrumentation of this group mirrors the stylistic inspirations of Celtic, Old-timey, Indian and Western Classical styles. It's easiest to describe the music as original, but like all good folk music it has it's roots in lineages from across the world.
Trent Arkleysmith

Trent Arkleysmith is an Australian multi-instrumentalist (mandolin, cello, guitar, banjo) known for his virtuosic folk, bluegrass, and new acoustic music, blending classical training with circus and street performance. He has toured internationally, bringing unique sounds to various productions and festivals.
Rachel Johnston
Cello, vocals
Rachel Johnston is an acclaimed Australian cellist known for her dynamic, genre-crossing performances in classical, folk, pop, and experimental music, formerly of the Australian String Quartet, who now also teaches and researches non-classical cello techniques for her PhD. She's collaborated with major artists like Missy Higgins and Archie Roach, performed globally, and creates popular children's music programs for Musica Viva
Harry O'Donovan
Guitar, banjo, fiddle, vocals.
Harry has performed extensively with various band line-ups and has created his own unique sound. He has studied Indian music and Old-time Southern Appalachian folk styles with the likes of Jody Stecher and Dan Gellert.
